SUMMARY:Sherwood Jr. Ambassadors Leadership Class
DESCRIPTION:The 2020-21 Jr. Ambassador program is offered to high school freshman who desire the opportunity to learn more about Sherwood and the surrounding community. This program is similar to the Leadership Greater Arkansas program but on a smaller scale. Students participating in the Jr. Ambassador program will be introduced to community leaders from area businesses\, government agencies\, military installations\, and civic organizations. This is designed to enhance and develop leadership and networking skills.\n\nThe Jr. Ambassador program is looking to enroll about 16 students from the three high schools in Sherwood: Sylvan Hills\, Abundant Life\, and Lisa Academy. These students will commit to the following:\n\n Personal growth\n Serving the community through volunteer work\n Improving the community to favorably impact the development and quality of the community\n GPA of at least 3.0\n Reliable attendance history in school\n Leadership development plan\n Participation in a group project to develop leadership and team building skills\n\nThe leadership portion of this program will be based on Clifton Strengths to help these students identify what they do best and develop those talents into strengths. We understand that this is a mission that your organization believes in and would like to align our leadership program with one of the best places to work in our state.\n\n\n\n\n [MV1]Kellie\, please feel free to make any and all necessary edits to this document. I am trying to highlight the desires of this program and how a DDAR sponsorship would be beneficial for our organization. Please add language around sponsorships and what you anticipate the cost being. I am not sure if we need to mention IndigoStone but I can keep that in my pocket for the group discussion.
